The condolence processions began with marches that roamed the streets of the city to offer condolences to Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) on the sad anniversary, while the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) developed an integrated plan to receive processions and crowds of mourners.
The sponsor of the Umm al-Baneen youth procession (peace be upon them); Sayed Haydar al-Yasiri, said that "the processions have started since the morning, going to the shrines of the Master of martyrs and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), to offer condolences on this sad event".
He added that"the people of Karbala used to commemorate the occasions of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), including the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Askari (peace be upon him), in commemoration of this sad event".
Al-Mousawi explained that"the condolence processions headed towards the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to offer condolences, and then to the shrine of the Lord of martyrs (peace be upon him), passing through a square between the Two Holy Shrines, to conclude the march in the holy courtyard of Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine.
The believers extended condolences to Imam al-Hujjah (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance), the scholars and the Islamic nation, stressing the continuation of reviving the occasions of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and renewing the covenant to follow the approach taken by the Prophet's family (may Allah's prayers be upon them).
